Peacefully, with her family by her side, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Thursday, November 3, 2016, Florentina “Tina” Antonia Maria (Haans) Matejcek of Tillsonburg passed away at the age of 84 years. Loving and caring mother of Judy Taylor (Kevyn Milton) of Tillsonburg, Florentine Matejcek of British Columbia, Kathy Holly (Michael) of Tillsonburg, Carrie Buchan (Cam) of Guelph, Leslie Ecker (Nikki Carter) of British Columbia and Lenny Matejcek of Barrie. Dear mother-in-law of Elaine Matejcek of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandmother of Justin, Julie (Brent), Alexander, Nicola, Jonathon, Meaghan, Samantha, Sean, Marci, Ryan, Jordan, Cassandra, Shaun (Jen), Teegan, Garrett and 5 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Frans Haans and Riki VanRiel and sister-in-law of Joke Haans and Karel Foolen all of the Netherlands. Predeceased by her husband Frank Matejcek Sr., her parents Gerard and Elizabeth (Vorselaars) Haans, sons Frank Matejcek Jr. and Randy Matejcek , daughters Elizabeth and Carol and daughter-in-law Janice Matejcek and 10 brothers and sisters. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Tillsonburg on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Father Tom Ferrera officiating. Interment to follow at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the Matejcek family.
