Peacefully, on Thursday, August 24, 2017 surrounded by his loving family, Walter Moore of Straffordville passed away in his 89th year. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Lorraine Moore (2010) and loving father of his late young son Brian (1968). Devoted father of Shelley Longfield (Larry) and Linda Layng (Dan Herreman). Much loved Grandad of Brett, Trent, Amanda (Bryan) and Brennen. Walter is survived by sister-in-laws Jackie (Andy) Choma, Wanda (Bob) DeBrabander. Brother-in-laws Lee (Sharon) Chute and Mike (Adele) Chute. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by sister Dorothy Fisher and her husband Ken. Cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg, Ontario, N4G 3T6 (519-842-5221) on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The memorial service for Walter will be held in Ostrander’s Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Watson officiating. Inurnment will be in the Straffordville Cemetery. Memorial donations in Walter’s memory to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
