Peacefully, at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Courtland on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, Violet Edith (Campbell) Docheff passed away at the age of 99 years. Beloved wife of the Late Mitro Docheff (1989). Loving mother of Don Docheff and his wife Grace of R.R. 2 Courtland, Ted Docheff and his wife Jean of Courtland and Daisy Tyrrell and her husband Dennis of Courtland and mother-in-law of Pam Docheff of Straffordville. Cherished grandmother of Jim, Nick, Pam, Amy, Tracy, Shawn, Tim, Tammy, Elizabeth, Samantha, Cassandra and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Theodore and Daisy (Miles) Campbell, her son Mitro Docheff and two sisters Lillian MacRae and Ruth Shaver. Violet was an avid writer. Throughout her life she enjoyed writing short stories and poems and even wrote a children’s book. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service for Violet will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Rowbottom officiating. Interment to follow in Courtland Baptist Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Diabetes Association, Kidney Foundation or Caressant Care Nursing Home, Courtland would be appreciated by the Docheff family.
