1935-2017
Peacefully at his home, on Sunday, April 16, 2017, John Francis “Frank” Bastien, in his 82nd year. Predeceased by his loving wife Gert (2011). Beloved father to Renee LaChapelle of Tillsonburg; Frank Bastien Jr. (Kelli) of Windsor; Shelly McCarey (Rick) of Tillsonburg; Dennis Bastien (Debbie) of Windsor; Michelle Fehr of St. Thomas; Joe Bastien (Lori) of Windsor; and the late Murray Bastien (2008) of Windsor. Step-father to Donna Young (Robert) of Tillsonburg; Janet Keuppers (John) of Tillsonburg; Albert Taylor (Pat) of Melbourne; Bobby Taylor (Karen) of Brantford; Lavina McClennan (Bill) of Tillsonburg. Beloved grandfather and great grandfather to several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Frank will be missed by his sisters Laura and Mae. Predeceasd by his parents Archille and Evelyn Bastien, and brother Bernard Bastien. The family would like to invite all those close to Frank to celebrate his life at a public graveside service at the Tillsonburg Cemetery, to be held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please provide a donation to Tillsonburg Minor Hockey Inc., or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, in memory of Frank.
