Lena Erma Atkins (1924 – 2017)
Peacefully, at Delhi Long Term Care on Friday, February 17, 2017, Lena Erma (Laemers) Atkins, formerly of Port Burwell, passed away at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the Late Robert Atkins (1985). Loving mother of Dennis Atkins and his wife Judy of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandmother of Ian Atkins and his wife Rasheena of Calgary, Carrie Atkins of Tillsonburg and great-grandmother of Priya and Raman Atkins of Calgary. Dear sister of Alphonse Laemers and his wife Mary of Aylmer, Tillie Wright of Port Dover and Delphine Hayward of Port Burwell. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Mary Winne and brothers Ed and Frank Laemers. In keeping with Lena’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at the Tillsonburg Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations to the charity of your choice can be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
