Peacefully, on Saturday, January 28, 2017, Douglas Aubrey Stafford, of Tillsonburg, passed away at Woodingford Lodge in Tillsonburg, surrounded by his loving family. Doug was 96 years of age. Loving husband of 73 years to Phyllis (nee Brown). Supportive, and caring father to Barbara VanDoninck and her husband Andy, of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandfather to Jody Berkelmans, her husband Karl, and their children Colin and Matthew. Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Doug was predeceased by his parents Grant and Mabel Stafford, brother Lloyd Stafford, sisters’ Helen Boyd, and Isabelle Stafford. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home Limited, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Thursday, February 02, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. The Funeral Service for Doug will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Maurice Francis officiating. Interment will be at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or Woodingford Lodge, Tillsonburg would be appreciated by the Stafford family.
