Marjorie “Marje” Godfrey (1923 – 2016)
Peacefully, with her family by her side at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Monday, November 28, 2016, Marjorie “Marje” (Knighton) Godfrey, formerly of Tillsonburg, at the age of 93 years. Beloved wife and best friend of 71 years to the Late Lloyd Godfrey (2013). Loving mother of Linda Rodgers and her husband Don. Cherished grandmother of 3 granddaughters, 5 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great granddaughters and 1 great-great grandson. Marje was an avid bingo and card player. She also loved her time spent socializing with her many friends at McDonalds in Tillsonburg. Cremation has taken place. At the request of Marje, there will be no funeral service or visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart & Stroke Foundation may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
