Condolences

Condolence From: JANICE TOMLINSON
Condolence: This is a very belated condolence, as I had not heard of Janet's passing. I was so sorry to hear that she passed away 5 years ago. We worked together in the special education field for many years - Janet was the Ministry representative and I was a special education coordinator, principal and superintendent. She was such a wonderful person, always willing to share her expertise and provide suggestions. She was just lovely, and we shared many good professional times together. My heart is sad for all of you to have lost such a bright light in your lives. Again, sorry for this very belated condolence. I hope that you receive it.

Condolence: Janet was always so full of life. She didn't go anywhere without a smile on her face. She made everyone feel important and that's what I loved most about her.

Lori, Melissa and Rebecca, our hearts and prayers go out to you at this difficult time. Your mother was truly a spectacular woman.

Love, Heather, Brett and Stacey Cairns

Condolence: My sincere condolences to the family of Janet Penner. Janet was a terrific educator with a great sense of humour and obligation to all students. She helped me many times in my career as a Sp. Ed Superintendent by answering my questions and providing accurate information and support...always with a sense of humour and perspective. Truly, a great lady.

Condolence: Sincerest condolences are extended to Janet's family. Janet was a colleague at the Ministry of Education, Field Services Branch, in the Special Education portfolio. She was well respected in education circles and will be remembered as one who could ask very tough questions in the most respectful way. She was an awesome lady and was immensely missed when she retired only a few short years ago. Janet would have fought her cancer courageously but would have also remained gracious at the same time. May she now rest in peace. Thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time - Jim, on behalf of Sudbury-North Bay Regional Office staff.
