Peacefully, with her family by her side at Caressant Care Nursing Home, Courtland on Thursday, October 27, 2016, Elsie Eleanor (Biamonte) Pottelberg passed away at the age of 99 years. Beloved wife of the Late Onere Pottelberg Sr. (2002). Loving and proud mother of Shirley VanPuymbroeck of Chatham, Paul Pottelberg and his wife Lynn of Tillsonburg, Terry Pottelberg and his wife Deb of Tillsonburg and mother-in-law of Elinor Pottelberg of Tillsonburg. Cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister-in-law Vera Biamonte of British Columbia and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son Onere Pottelberg Jr., son-in-law Lawrence VanPuymbroeck, her parents Nicholas and Olive (Harrison) Biamonte and her brother Peter Biamonte. A Private Family Liturgical Service was held at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221). Father Tom Ferrera officiated. Interment followed in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
