Dave Johnson (1963 – 2016)
On Sunday, July 31, 2016, Dave Johnson passed away suddenly at his home at the age of 52. Loving husband and best friend of Helen; father to son Matt and daughter Brittany MacKay (Blair); son to parents Ben and Gerry; and brother to sisters Wendy Englander (Steve) and Janice Simon (John). Predeceased by mother-in law and father-in law Freda and Ivan McClintock, and grandparents Benjamin and Hazel Johnson. A devoted businessman well known throughout the community as the proud owner of Ruffins Pet Centre in Tillsonburg. His passions included family, gardening, photography, and animals. He will be forever remembered deeply by his family, friends, customers and all of those fortunate to have known him. Although a very special man was taken before we all wished, he shared a lifetime of love and support with everyone around him. In celebration of his life, a visitation will be held Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Tillsonburg Community Centre Complex Auditorium, 45 Hardy Ave, Tillsonburg, Ontario, from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
In keeping with Dave’s wishes, the funeral service will be private. Any support wishing to be made, in lieu of flowers, please support an animal charity of your choice. Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) are entrusted with the arrangements.
