Obituary for Clara Maria Veryser (Maertens)
CLARA MARIA (MAERTENS) VERYSER (1925-2016)
Peacefully, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 28, 2016, Clara Maria (Maertens) Veryser of Tillsonburg and formerly of Eden passed away at the age of 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Leon Veryser (2009). Proud and loving grandmother of Darrick Jolliffe and his wife Zubaida Haque of Leicester, England. Cherished great-grandmother of Haytham and Lalima. Predeceased by her daughter Ilene Jolliffe (1991). Clara and her husband Leon were tobacco farmers in the Eden area for many years. In keeping with Clara’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Salvation Army may be made by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with the arrangements.
