On Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at her home in Tillsonburg, Ruby Fleming passed away at the age of 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Howard Fleming (2001). Dear mother of Stewart Fleming of Toronto, Janice Fleming of Waterloo, and Michelle Van Eenoo of Mount Elgin. Beloved grandmother to Geoffrey Lee. Also survived by her sisters-in-law Lu McNeal and Margaret Fleming as well as her nieces and nephews. Ruby was a lifelong community volunteer, an active member of the Tillsonburg Lioness Club since its charter in 1979, and served as the first Lioness District A-2 President. At the time of her death, she was serving as Treasurer of the Tillsonburg Lioness Club. Ruby was a recipient of a Melvin Jones Fellow. Honouring Ruby’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives are invited to share memories of Ruby at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. The Memorial Service for Ruby will be held on Monday, May 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel. Inurnment with her husband at a later date in Tillsonburg Cemetery. Donations in Ruby’s memory made to Annandale House or Lions Foundation of Canada are appreciated by the family. Personal condolences can be made at www.ostrandersfuneralhome.com
