Mary Louise “Wiz” Loucks (1941 – 2016)
Peacefully, with her family by her side at Sakura House on Family Day, Monday, February 15, 2016, in her 75th year. Mary Louise “Wiz” (Verscheure) Loucks was born in Tillsonburg on April 11, 1941, the daughter of the late Gerard and Mary (Salembier) Verscheure. Beloved wife, best friend and first-mate of Larry for over 54 years. Loving and cherished mother of Laurie Harrington (Godfrey Cotton) and Pamela Loucks-Conn (Brian Conn). Proud and caring grandmother of Brett Harrington, Jessica Cotton, Brandon Conn, Jared Conn and great-grandmother of Nya Cotton. Dear sister of Marcella Kunderman (George), sister-in-law of Ilene Verscheure, Maurice Deketelaere, Betty Howe (Ron) and Gordon Loucks (Betty Lee). Wiz is survived by several nieces and nephews and she leaves behind many close friends that she and Larry have made over the years. Predeceased by her siblings Noel Verscheure, Yvonne Deketelaere, Marcel Verscheure and Agnes Vandergunst. Wiz enjoyed golfing with her friends, boating, fishing, traveling but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Friends and relatives are invited to share memories of Wiz at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Friday, February 19, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The service to celebrate Wiz’s life will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at the Tillsonburg Cemetery. As expression of sympathy, donations may please be made to VON Sakura House. Wiz’s final days at Sakura House were filled with love, comfort and care. The staff and volunteers were extraordinary in everything they did for Wiz and Wiz’s family.
