Murray Earl Treffry (1936 – 2016)
Peacefully at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, February 3, 2016, Murray Treffry of Tillsonburg and formerly of Otterville passed away at the age of 79 years. Beloved husband and best friend for 52 years to Marilyn (Clinton) Treffry. Loving and caring father of Rhonda Babcock (Paul) of Port Dover, Terry Treffry of Tillsonburg and Charlene Stryker (John) of Port Dover. Cherished grandfather of Amanda Carpani (Sam) of Tillsonburg, Andrea Babcock and Blake Stryker both of Port Dover and great-grandfather of Jace Carpani of Tillsonburg. Dear brother of Lurene McMullen of Otterville. Also survived by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Lorne and Anna (Maunder) Treffry and his brother-in-law Bill McMullen. Murray was a proud employee of Powells and Agrospray for many years. He was also a member of the Otterville Fire Department for 44 years. Murray was a very handy person and enjoyed helping others in any way he could. Friends and relatives are invited to share memories of Murray at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Friday, February 5, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service for Murray will be held in Ostrander’s Chapel on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Steve Amorin officiating. Cremation to follow with inurnment later at the Otterville Cemetery. Memorial donations to First Baptist Church, Tillsonburg or VON Sakura House would be appreciated by the family.
