Peacefully, at Maple Manor Nursing Home in Tillsonburg, on Saturday, February 21, 2015, Henry Ellenberger passed away at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband and best friend of the late Katharina “Katie” (Fabi) Ellenberger (2011). Loving father of Elizabeth Carroll and her husband Pat of Tillsonburg and their children Lindsey (Paul) McLeish, Melissa Carroll (Aaron Phillips); Walter Ellenberger and his wife Ann of Tillsonburg and their children Ryan (Caroline) Ellenberger, Andrea Ellenberger (Alec Sooley) and Stacy (Jonathan) Hanlon; Erika Lewis of London and her children Stephanie Lewis (Tommy Harris) and Eric Lewis. Great-grandfather “Opa” of Tristan McLeish. Dear brother-in-law of Mary Ellenberger of Simcoe, Mike Fabi of Tillsonburg and Linda Fabi of Cambridge. Also survived by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Henry and Elizabeth (Hoffman) Ellenberger and his brother John Ellenberger. Henry was a member of the Delhi District German Home for many years and was employed for over 30 years by Livingston Industries in Tillsonburg. Friends and relatives will be received at Ostrander’s Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell Street, Tillsonburg (519-842-5221) on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. with prayers to commence at 7 p.m. The Funeral Service for Henry will be held at Peace Lutheran Church, 60 Young Street, Tillsonburg on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dan Abraham officiating. Interment to follow in the Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations to Peace Lutheran Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
